We are world travelers that love to see various cultures & meet new people. We especially like to go to Europe, and Hawaii. We are a semi retired couple with a 34 year old daughter, Siena. She is a Neurologist at UCSF and very busy but she and her husband may travel a little with us sometimes. They love Europe and just went there last September. Fred is an accountant and business consultant. I am a singer/guitarist with a teaching degree and have had a school for many years but now I am semi retired as a Substitute teacher. We love animals (with only one small cat now) and would give good attention and care to your pet. Fred is fluent in Spanish, he came to America from Colombia when he was 5 Years old. We both love California very much and all it's variety of cultural activities and our area there is many artists and musicians with a variety of events in the area. We live near the quant, artist/music town of Sebastopol with hip and friendly community. But only 2 miles from Petaluma, 6 miles from Santa Rosa and a 40 minute drive to San Francisco.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Member of Homelink.org since 2004. We are world travelers with 7 previous exchanges with other agencies, lots of reviews on Airbnb.
We love Sebastopol, California where we have lived for 25 years in our lovely, quiet rural home that it is so close to many interesting and gorgeous areas. We have a view of a peaceful valley below us. Located on 1-1/2 acres, it is surrounded by green rolling hills, vineyards, trees and wildlife (including many hawks and birds). We live at an especially easy accessible location to all the surrounding areas and towns/cities because we are 10 minutes from the main Highways of 101 and 116. Sebastopol is the nearest town to us (3 miles) It is a a quaint town with lots of artists and musicians and has community oriented , friendly people. It also has everything you would need for basic items. Which includes markets, drug stores, and many restaurants (gourmet, health food, & casual) We have a new downtown area " Barlow Center", with wine tasting, restaurants, shops, theater ,and festivals, with very little traffic so you can have a relaxed stroll around town. We have a Spacious living room and remodeled kitchen, 2 large bedrooms (one with a large hydrotherapy tub) ,1 smaller bedroom , 2 remodeled bathrooms and 2 new front and back decks . Santa Rosa is 7 miles from us and it is a city with all the larger stores (malls), theaters and many restaurants. . San Francisco is a 40 minute drive away.
We have 1 sweet , shy cat "Katie" that will warm up to you. Our home is very clean (no animal smells etc.) and we are respectful and neat with other people's homes as well. And since we love animals we would gladly feed and take good care of your pet.

Close to quaint, friendly Artist town of Sebastopol (3 miles). Only 7 miles to city of Santa Rosa . Easy access to surrounding areas, only 10 minutes to main Highways. Ocean fishing (Bodega Bay etc.), Wineries (all around us, Coppola is a favorite) , shopping, Native American history sites, Giant Redwoods, fairs, lots of outdoor music events Art studios with special events, and theaters nearby. Sebastopol/Graton area has several nice restaurants including the famous Willow Wood Cafe and Underwood restaurant and bar. And you can walk around our new "Barlow Center" where there are out door music events, fairs, pastry, wine, shops, and cafes .Our Sonoma county and Napa (next to us) are famous for producing world class wine.

Green Center- has world famous musicians, classical, jazz and folk.

Our home is neat and clean and we ask that you respect that and leave it in good condition. We can clean bathrooms and vacuum after you leave. A neighbor can water outside plants ( and our water system) . We have a few plants inside to water but that could be arranged as well. We have only one Pet , a sweet cat named "Katie" who would need feeding and she loves petting.
