Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is quiet, we are 3 houses away from the end of a no through road. There is ample parking at the side of the road which borders the coast path in front of the house. There are no houses between us and the sea. Cars do park here in the daytime whilst people go walking or visiting the foreshore, because the garden is at a higher level and protected by shrubbery it is still very private.
There are 2 small shops 20 mins walk and a selection of small grocery shops, 2 pharmacies and many places to eat out in the town centre 30 mins walk. A busy holiday/fishing centre.
In summer months there are 2 places for snacks, ice creams and coffees a few minutes walk from the house.
Our home is not available during UK school holidays.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The attraction of our home is the sea. There are sea views from all the main rooms. There is an island opposite the house lovely to watch the changing colours throughout the day. You can make visits to the island and there you can spend 2 hours walking around enjoying the scenery, watching sea birds and watching a small colony of seals.
A footpath runs alongside the road out side the house and there is a path down the slope adjacent to the foreshore. At low tide there are hundreds of rockpools to explore.
We enjoy the peace and quiet and do not use local eateries as we eat in our own home.
If you like to eat out you will find numerous options in Looe.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
A non simultaneous or shared/semi-hospitality exchange has worked well for us in the past. We can vacate our home easily for any period other than UK school holidays. We use a caravan and have numerous relatives whom we visit.
Our house is visited by many family members in school holidays so it is a "lived in" family home.
We do not wear shoes indoors. We do not have a housekeeper/ cleaner so it would be great if you could leave our house clean and tidy and put sheets in the laundry basket when you leave. We will do the same at your house.
Our home is not available for exchange during UK school holidays. Looe is very busy during school holiday times.
We have a small car which is available for exchange.
After very successful visits to Western Australia in April/May 2023 and to Queensland in October/November 2023 and New Zealand in Feb/March 2024 we have now caught up on our COVID postponements. 2024 plans are open, Ireland (using Newquay to Dublin Flights) Corsica, Sardinia, ....???
