Description of the home we are offering for exchange
***We have found an exchange for summer 2024***
We live in a generous and newly renovated (inside) house, located in the lake district and right on the linguistic boarder (french-german) of Switzerland. Our home offers all you need to spend some happy days with family and kids. We're lucky to have a big garden with trees, a trampoline for the kids and a lawn to lie on, dream away or play. In hot summer days, we love having lunch or dinner in the shade of our birch tree. The centre of our home is our living room & kitchen. It is modern and spacious and has a large window front with a view on the garden. In summer days you can open up the window front and let merge the inside & outside. The sleeping rooms and one of the bathrooms are upstairs. Parents can enjoy late evenings downstairs and sleep in upstairs in the morning. Happy family life guaranteed...

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The house is situated in a very calm neighbourhood with hardly any traffic. Our neighbours are very helpful and friendly if needed but you'll have your peace if you want to. A local bakery, a restaurant as well as the local forest is within 5 minutes walk. Going west, you'll be in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Going east, it's the German speaking part. The historical towns of Murten (10 minutes drive by car or bus), Fribourg (20 minutes drive by car or bus) and Bern (25 minutes drive) are within easy reach. As well as the lakes of Schiffenen (5 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk) and Murten (10 minutes drive or nice 60 minutes walk over hills and through forests). From our small town you can see the snowy alps and reach them within 1 hour's drive - by car or public transport. In short, you'll have the calm of the rural area, but you're in reach of many sightseeing or natural activities.
