Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Beautiful, large apt (138sqm) in a secure gated community, ideal for a relaxing visit to a wonderful, sunny area. Brand new kitchen and 2 new en-suite walk-in bathrooms installed as of 2018. We have 3 bedrooms but use one as an office ( although there is a pull down sofa in the office which is also a double bed ). The other 2 double bedrooms are large and have king and queen size beds with all amenities, light and airy with lovely views.
There are mosquite screens on every window and door so it's a pleasure to leave the windows open all night and enjoy the cool breeze!
Our wonderful terrace with views of the Med has recently been retiled and painted and it's where we enjoy most of our meals and evening glass of wine..
Also installed this year ( 2019 ) was fibre optics...this gives you an amzing 600mbps on download AND upload speed, there is a new Smart 54" TV ( 2021 ).....and finally there is the pool! I will let the pictures do the talking. And finally....please take a tour of our apartment...all you have to do is copy and paste this link...it's very easy to use and very intuitive! https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=ydiU8g1CV7T

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We are part of a small urbanisation at the top end of Calahonda..this particular area has hills behind and the sea in front, yet only a few minutes from restaurants and cafes. We have a 5/10 minute walk to our favourite tennis club, there are 2 restaurants/bars just across the road, Miel y Nata for the best value on the coast, but also La Family, run by our friends Ben and Irena, which is 20 steps away from our front gates.. There is an uninterrupted view of the Med from the balcony ( sometimes you can see the Riff mountains in Africa ).
I guess we have the best of all worlds in as much as we have access to so many sports/towns/drives/entertainment but still lovely and quiet.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
There are so many things to do here...superb golf courses abound, at least 4 tennis clubs close by..our fav is Club del Sol which has 13 courts, 4 squash courts, padel and table tennis..we walk to this one as it is only 5/10 mins away. Loads of beaches, each with it's own "Chiringito", that's a bar/café/restaurant right on the beach, so you can spend a day
sunbathing under the straw brollies on a hammock with food/drink close by. We now boast a wonderful "paseo" a raised walkway running alongside the beach which stretches from La Cala to Marbella..best way to blow away the cobwebs. There are loads of supermarkets and shopping precincts close by. The towns of Marbella and Fuengirola are just
10 mins away. Gibraltar is about 1 hr away, Tarifa ( where the Med meets the Atlantic ) a further 30 mins. The mountains/lakes and wildlife are stunning here, you can see wild vultures and sometimes eagles and hundreds of storks all within a short drive away. A "must" walk is the Camino del Rey, situated near to the Churros lakes...absolutely recommended, but book in plenty of time.
