We live in a large 4 bedroom semi-detached home in a quiet
neighbourhood 4kms from Galway city centre. There are fantastic local amenities nearby, including bus-stops, shops, a café, many great restaurants and pubs, parks, woods and golf courses. We are 2.5 kms from Galway city's beach, Salthill, which has a long promenade, a popular diving tower and fantastic beaches to swim from. Salthill is a well-known seaside resort, with many cafes, cinemas, restaurants, amusements and a heated indoor swimming pool. Galway city is an historic town, with many shops, cafes, pubs and a great street market. Galway is a very cultural city, especially in the summer, when it hosts the Galway Arts festival, Galway film festival, Galway Races, amongst other events. Galway is an ideal base for touring the West of Ireland, especially Connemara, renowned for its rugged coastline and mountainous landscape. It is a 2 hour drive to Ireland's capital city, Dublin. There are many other ways to get to Dublin, including train and bus. We are located near 3 great airports- Galway west/knock airport, Shannon
airport, and Dublin airport. There are direct bus routes from each of these
airports to Galway city.
