We had a wonderful time in lively, interesting and varied Nantes for two weeks. Though Nantes is not very big, there is a lot to do and you can immerse yourself in cultural, artistic and historical roots, all in easy reach with good public transport or on foot. In the surroundings you can discover more of wonderful Brittany and enjoy the coast, beaches, cliffs, castles, salt fields, nature and culinary kitchen. We enjoyed to have the house of Carole and Arnaut as a starting point and place of retreat. Their home is a comfortable, cosy house with a spacious, quiet and lovely garden where you can enjoy the sun all day and relax and eat on the terrace. We were warmly welcomed by the neighbors and a delicious Breton meal and our kids enjoyed the variety of games, books and toys to play with. We loved our varied and enriching trips, for example to Machine de l’Ile, Jardin d’extraordinaire, Chateau des ducs, Clisson (town, castle and paper mill), the cliffs and beaches, Ocearium, Terre de Sel etc. Contact with Carole and family was always warm, satisfying and pleasant.
