We throughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the ‘staples’ left for us. It is a wonderful area to be in - simply the best. Our sincere thanks for everything. Cheers for now Monica and Denis xx

Read More...We loved Rosemary's comfortable Edwardian villa in Northcote. A large kitchen /sitting room gave onto a delightful garden where we breakfasted every morning. Westgarth village was literally two minutes distance by foot with cool and friendly cafes/restaurants, a cinema, and a magnificently stocked organic store. Rosemary gave us the use of two fine new sturdy bicycles and within hours of arriving we had discovered the Yarra Bend Park with safe cyclepaths where Bell Birds sang beautifully from the top of the gumtrees. Two nearby metro stations took us to the centre of Melbourne in 15 minutes with its Galleries, Open Markets, Libraries and, of course, Melbourne Park where we were absorbed by the Tennis on SuperSaturday. We easily made trips in Rosemary's car to the hills and to the coast, encountering Kangaroo, Wallabies, Wombats and Emu in the wild at Wilson's Prom. Rosemary's home was a wonderful base for exploring Victoria and we wholeheartedly reccommend it. When we arrive back to our home in Dublin it was as if we have never been away. Thank you for looking after our home so well.

It is important that the house is left neat and tidy. Also a request to use flat shoes inside, no heels as all floors except the bathroom are polished boards and are quite soft and mark easily. A simple request is to use the fan in the bathroom when showering to get rid of the steam. Also as water is a precious commodity please use it sparingly.. short showers in particular.
